Down the Homestretch

It's been a hectic summer in Maryland's State Parks. The staff has worked hard, long hours, been pushed to the limit at times, and still maintained composure with a smile when interacting with visitors.

Good news comes with Labor Day weekend! The crowds will begin to slow as children go back to school.

The traditional "summer season" as we know it is almost over.
We're coming down the homestretch now!

The Critical Incident Stress Management Team wants to remind you to take a deep breath and be proud of this year's personal and professional accomplishments   With the weather forecast predicting a nice holiday weekend, and the last chance for many to get away until next year, we expect it will be very busy.

We encourage you to enter the weekend work shift with thoughts of rewarding yourself, taking time to relax and reflect on all of the things that made you happy about the job you've done and continue to do.  Consider planing a day for yourself, a trip with friends or a visit with family. Simple thoughts will carry you through!

Have a safe and Happy Labor Day Weekend.

The CISM Team invites folks on the lower eastern shore to join us for a Summer Chill break on Sept. 18th from 11AM to 1PM at Pocomoke River State Park. Come enjoy some games, cookies and lemonade, and learn about what the DNR CISM team is all about.
