Looking for other fun things to do with visitors in your park? The fall crafts and nature studies below should help give you some ideas to get families involved in the outdoors during this beautiful season!

Fall crafts:

- Trying to find another use for those out of season Easter eggs? Make a DIY Fall Acorn!

- If you're one of those rare folks who loves doing puzzles (that's me!), you probably have at least a few puzzles with more than one piece missing. Use the remaining old pieces to create a Fall Tree Craft!

- Looking to get rid of a few old books or scrap paper lying around? Make a Recycled Paper Pumpkin with the old materials for a new fall decoration.

Nature studies/observations:

- Which tree leaves change to red? Orange? Yellow? Which ones stay green and why?

- Acorn dissection - what is inside the shell? How does it become a tree in the future?

- Why does it get dark earlier in the fall and winter? Why does the weather turn colder?

- Which animals store food to prepare for winter? Which animals hibernate?
