Where do I find postings for state jobs?
All recruitments are posted on the JobAps website for the Maryland Department of Natural Resources. Candidates interested in applying for full-time positions, as well as part-time seasonal positions, with the Maryland Park Service must do so online through the JobAps website.
There is also the option to be notified for when certain job series are announced/posted. You can fill out your information for one of these Interest Cards to be notified when a job category you selected is posted. - Check the recruitment posting and make sure that you meet the minimum qualifications
- Create a JobAps application
- Be sure to do a thorough check of your application before submitting.
- Apply in a timely manner. You should receive an email confirming the receipt of the application

- Research MPS programs, themes and initiatives
- Take the time to practice interviewing
- Be ready to share important and pertinent information about why you are most qualified for the job
- Prepare questions for your interview panel
- Post interview: consider sending a thank you email to the interview panel members
- Post interview: Be patient!
