LIFE JACKET LOANER PROGRAM

Since 2008, the Sea Tow Foundation has distributed over 106,000 life jackets to local businesses and organizations across the country. The over 1,300 life jacket loaner stations currently in operation are placed in locations where boaters will have easy access to the life jackets, such as boat ramps, marinas, and parks. See the map here. Boaters may borrow the life jackets at no cost and are asked to return them when they are finished so that they are available for others to use.

The 2026 Grant Application is now open. To apply, please CLICK HERE.

You can also check out the 2026 Terms and Conditions.

Another Option would be the Boat US Foundation that takes applications year-round. This requires the location to be staff so may be a best fit at a marina, visitor center, etc.

Webinar: Rethinking Invasive Species Communication

January 28, 2026

$0

 Event Description

This webinar will explore how the words we use to talk about invasive species can either support or undermine effective management. Drawing on insights from the Sea Grant-led Invasive Species Language Workshop hosted during National Invasive Species Awareness Week 2024, speakers will look at message framing, metaphors, and naming conventions that can unintentionally reinforce xenophobia or exclusion, as well as approaches that foster inclusion and collaboration instead.
