Stop The Bleed Month

May is "Stop the Bleed" Month

As all of our medical responders know, this year there is a renewed effort to teach responders and lay people about the lifesaving skills needed to help someone with a life threatening bleed. If you would like a refresher to your skills or if you are a new staff member you can take the interactive classroom portion online. We encourage everyone, in any position, to learn more about how to save a life because you never know when a tragedy might strike.

Here is a short video produced by the actors of a few popular medical drama shows that will give you an overview of what you would learn in a Stop the Bleed Class. First Aid Classes are happening all over the state this month and next. Check the Training Division calendar to sign up. Seconds count when trying to stop a bleed. Be prepared by ensuring your first aid kits are stocked and ready before the crowds of summer arrive.
