MRPA Operations University

This 8-month program offers a unique blend of hands-on training, leadership development, and technical certifications. It's a chance for your staff to grow their skills while bringing long-term value back to your organization.

From August through March, selected participants will attend monthly in-person sessions held across the state. The program includes hands-on learning, classroom instruction, site visits, and expert-led discussions, culminating in a group presentation at the MRPA Conference in April.

Participants will explore key topics such as athletic field care, stormwater and snow management, trail development, playground maintenance, and leadership. They will also have the opportunity to earn certifications in:
  • Fertilizer and Pesticide Application (MDA)
  • Playground Maintenance (NRPA)
  • Chainsaw Use and Safety (DNR)
  • Smart Salting (MDE)
This is a valuable opportunity for your staff to build practical skills and leadership capacity while bringing back knowledge and best practices that can strengthen your entire team.
